Three days after the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar ordered all Zonal Assistant Inspectors-General of Police and Commissioners of Police in Nigeria to provide "24-hour water-tight security across the country before, during and after Sallah celebration," a suicide bomber on Sunday, rammed his car into St. Rita Catholic Church, Malali in Kaduna, killing fifteen persons and injuring scores of others.

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Ondo State chapter, has said it would approach the election petition tribunal over the outcome of the governorship election in the state.

Highlights from the Nuhu Ribadu-led Petroleum Revenue Special Taskforce Report

According to a copy of the report seen by Reuters:

• Nigeria lost N28.73 billion in cut-price gas deals.
• Oil Ministers have handed out seven discretionary oil licences, including three awarded by Mrs. Diezani Allison-Madueke since 2010.
• Traders buy crude oil "without formal contracts."
