Three days after the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar ordered all Zonal Assistant Inspectors-General of Police and Commissioners of Police in Nigeria to provide "24-hour water-tight security across the country before, during and after Sallah celebration," a suicide bomber on Sunday, rammed his car into St. Rita Catholic Church, Malali in Kaduna, killing fifteen persons and injuring scores of others.
